Notary in Israel: signature, translation, and apostille
How Israeli notarial certification works for signatures, copies, translations, and documents that need an apostille.
A notary in Israel is an attorney licensed for notarial acts. Typical requests are signature certification, a true copy of an original, a notarial translation, or a certificate of life. Each act has a published tariff.
Signature and copies
For a signature, the signatory usually appears in person with identification. A true-copy certificate is priced per page. If the document will be used outside Israel, ask whether an apostille or further legalization is required after the stamp.
Translation and apostille
A notarial translation is billed by word count under the published schedule. English and Arabic certificates may follow different rules from other languages. Apostille is a separate state act; the office can explain the sequence but the fee for drafting or courier work is by agreement.
After 19:00 and on Saturday a surcharge may apply. Compare amounts on the notary fee calculator. Final cost is confirmed by the office.
